Shannon Gifford loves to sew. She also loves to teach others how to sew!
Shannon's sewing experiences are wide and varied. She has taught classes in basic sewing construction, embellishment, and fit. She has created costumes for stage and film production. Her custom clothing business (which closed in 1996), provided wardrobe construction as well as bridal and formalwear.
Since closing her custom clothing business, Shannon has concentrated on teaching others to sew. Her students range from the rank beginner to the advanced. She has taught students privately, in classroom settings, as a lecturer, and most recently as an online sewing instructor.
Shannon has also contributed to several national sewing publications, including Threads magazine. She has a regular column in the Atlanta ASG publication, Sew It Goes.
Shannon lives and teaches in Cartersville, Georgia.
